Once you sign-up, we will help you through four simple and easy steps on the path to becoming ecoSMARTER:

1. Building new sustainability skills – we will invite you to a special workshop to develop the skills to become more sustainable. The workshop will typically involve 10 local businesses,  allowing you to exchange ideas about how to stop wasting energy. Our sustainability experts will help you develop an environmental policy, an action plan and a green marketing strategy. You will leave this workshop bursting with ideas about how to save money and grow your business using green credentials.

2. Defining the detail – our experts will visit your premises and understand more about your business in order to complete your personalised action plan, identifying high impact changes to save money. They will also install an electricity monitor that will mean you can track your savings via our website and show you how to network with hundreds of other businesses on the project through the site.

3. Recognising your commitment – Gaining the skills to save energy and understanding the changes that can be made is a big achievement, which is why will be awarded the Carbon Smart Blue certificate. This prestigious accreditation is recognised by central and local government in their procurement frameworks as evidence of environmental excellence and can be used in your marketing to demonstrate your commitment and achievement in sustainability.

4. Realising the benefits – then it will be up to you to save energy and reduce your bills! But don’t worry, you won’t be on your own. You will be able to call our consultants for help and get tips and advice from other businesses that are going through the programme, via the networking website.
